Creating a Web Account

Two easy steps to creating an account to access protected materials on the Physicians Insurance Web site

Step 1 – Check for an Existing Account
It may be that you are already registered for an account. A simple way to check is to try and recover your password using the RECOVER PASSWORD feature.

When you type in your e-mail address, the system will check to see if it is associated with an account. If it is, a link will be sent to that e-mail address. You can follow that link to a page to create a new password. When complete, you can log in with your e-mail address and updated password.

Step 2 – Create a New Account
Choose your account type:

  • Physician/Medical Provider: This is for individual policyholders, or medical staff who are individually named/covered under their facility or hospital policy.
  • Clinic Admin/Staff: This is for staff working for an individual policyholder.
  • Hospital Admin/Staff: This is for hospital staff, not for hospital medical personnel.
  • Broker: This is for individual brokers affiliated with Physicians Insurance.

Provide credentials to verify your privileged access to protected materials. Here are the types of information needed, depending on which account type you’re registering under:

  • Physician/Medical Provider
    • Medical license number of policyholder, or Physicians Insurance policy number
    • Last 4 digits of policyholder’s social security number
  • Broker
    • Physicians Insurance CIS ID number
  • Clinic Admin/Staff
    • Medical license number of policyholder
    • Physicians Insurance policy number
  • Hospital Admin/Staff
    • Physicians Insurance policy number
    • Organization tax identification number

Provide your name and e-mail address (or verify the information we display), enter a password, and let us know if you want to receive e-mail communications from Physicians Insurance.
Click on FINISH and your account is created. Now you can log in using your e-mail address and password.

If you experience difficulty creating an account...

Step 1: Verify that you have entered your information correctly.

A medical license number usually is preceded with MD, DO, or PA and is followed by an eight-digit number. A policy number is a nine-digit number.

Step 2: If an account already exists for the e-mail address you’re trying to use, try to recover the password for that account or call Physicians Insurance for assistance at (800) 962-1399.
